Katie Presents Best Beach to 3 Cliffs Bay

Diamond Centre of Wales was proud to attend the South West Wales Culture & Lifestyle Awards held in Swansea. Our Katie did the honours of presenting the award of ‘The Best Beach’ to 3 Cliffs Bay. The Lord Mayor of the City & County of Swansea, Ioan Richard, was delighted to accepted the Award. Aberavon beach came second in the running, home to Sharon co-founder of Diamond Centre of Wales - though 3 Cliffs Bay remains the undisputed favourite of the team. Local radio stations Swansea Sound and The Wave sponsored the event, it was great to see a gathering of local businesses and really celebrate the stunning beauty and community that is South Wales.

Ladies Lunch Raises Funds for Tenovus

On the 20th of October the Diamond Centre of Wales team attended a ladies lunch for their cancer charity, Tenovus- Wales’ leading Cancer charity, to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen and his wife Jackie were hosting and Lawrence was kind enough to pose with the Diamond Centre of Wales ladies for a picture!

Held in St Davids Hotel in Cardiff, the function was to raise awareness for Breast Cancer and included a silent auction. Diamond Centre of Wales was able to donate a beautiful pink freshwater pearl necklace, and diamond necklace to the auction; and a grand total of £13,500 was raised. Diamond Centre of Wales are proud supporters of Tenovus and would like to thank charity executive Claudia McVie for another wonderful event. Claudia stated “Our campaign aims to raise awareness and funds to continue to provide cancer support services where and when people need it most”. All money raised from the event goes to directly support breast cancer patients, family members and carers.
